job detailsAs the Receiving Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all incoming materials are accurately received, inspected, and recorded. You will lead a small team in the receiving department, coordinate with vendors, and work closely with production to ensure timely and efficient material flow. Lead and oversee daily receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Supervise a team of receiving clerks, providing guidance and support as needed.
Inspect incoming materials and components for quality, quantity, and damage, verifying against purchase orders.
Organize and maintain receiving records, updating the system for inventory management.
Communicate with suppliers regarding discrepancies, damaged shipments, and returns.
Collaborate with warehouse, production, and purchasing departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Ensure proper storage of materials in designated areas, adhering to safety standards.
Monitor receiving area for cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.
Assist with cycle counts, audits, and process improvements in the receiving department.
The essential functions of this role include:
