Retail Sales Assistant Manager

We are looking to hire a full-time Assistant Manager for our liquor store in Cortland, NY. Candidate should have a strong work ethic, be professional and self- motivated, and have previous Management experience with day, night and weekend availability. Strong customer services skills, sales background, general knowledge of product, computer skills and marketing experience is a plus.

Previous management experience preferred. Pay depending on experience.

Summary of Position:

The primary responsibility of the Assistant Manager is to exceed customer expectations with customer services and store operations. The Assistant Manager will assist in the following daily operations of their store:

Essential Functions:

-Ordering and Inventory Counts

-Receiving and Logging Invoices

- Exceed customer expectations of store cleanliness and friendliness of staff

-Responsible for proper floor displays and appropriate merchandising plans

-Passing Unannounced Monthly Quality Inspections

-Store Associate development and training

-Effectively manage associates and all aspects of the liquor store operations

-Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures

-Manage store inventories, assess product gaps, and manage loss prevention

-Merchandising; including expectations for stocking, organization, pricing, etc.

-Must be able to lift 25lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally, stand, stoop, and kneel

- Assisting with Scheduling store staff

-Other duties as assigned
