Summary:The role will be part of the Wholesale Methodologies team that currently has oversight responsibilities on the Wholesale Credit Allowance, Stress Testing and Risk Ratings. The focus of the Wholesale Risk Ratings Analytics VP will be to support governance and oversight of Wholesale Risk Ratings with solid analytics to cover risk rating models and scorecards, discretionary adjustments and final ratings including a feedback loop on model and adjustment process enhancements to assure that issues identified are resolved appropriately and in a timely manner.Key Responsibilities:The Wholesale Risk Rating Oversight VP will be responsible to build sustainable, repeatable, and automated analytics on the Model results and Discretionary Adjustments and Factors which result in Final Risk Rating. The analytics will cover historical trends and relevant monitoring metrics (heat-maps). In addition, the role is to review consistency of all components related to lifecycle of risk rating methodologies, including model submission, ongoing performance monitoring of limitations, compensating controls and enhancement plan of wholesale risk rating models and scorecards. This function will engage with SMEs in Credit, Business, Modeling, Model Risk Management and Model Sponsors to address identified issues.Additional responsibilities include:

Subject matter knowledge of Wholesale credit and the general principles of credit risk management should be a part of the individual’s area of expertise. This includes an understanding of the Wholesale credit portfolios and businesses, the risk rating process across businesses and how we assess, manage and monitor risk.

Lead model governance and enhancement of rating methodologies in response to Regulatory or Self-Identified feedback. Partner with multiple stakeholders in quantitative research, credit, finance, model risk, technology.

Lead deep dive business analysis to provide portfolio insights, define requirements and management of various technical model related documentation.

Attend or serve as a member of related Governance meetings and coordinate agenda, materials, meeting minutes and follow-up items for this Group.

Contribute in creating strong analytics and financial analysis to support reporting metrics, trend analysis on Ratings.

Assist in the development and management of model and non-model assumptions, sensitivities and testing the various component of Ratings.

Provide support in the development and documentation of qualitative management adjustments deliverables.

Partners with Clients to understand and quickly respond to Client needs. Proactively seeks Client feedback to influence change throughout organization.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

5+ years Strong Financial Analysis experience in risk and ability to partner with Quantitative Research, Business & Technology stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project goals.

3+ years of credit risk modeling background, preferred knowledge of running coding in R, Python or SAS and with writing and editing technical documentation.

Prior experience in Credit Risk, Stress Testing is clearly a plus, but if not, sufficient expertise in managing a similar stress testing regime / projects or proven ability to quickly come up to speed in managing a complex financial reporting process of comparable complexity.

Should have Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel (metrics and data analysis), PowerPoint (presentation decks), and Word (writing and editing procedural and technical documentation).

Exceptional oral communication and writing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts, translate into "user-friendly" language, and effectively present in text or slide format.

Knowledge of banking domain especially risk management and good understanding of stress testing programs

Proven ability to interact credibly with stakeholders in other control functions such as finance, audit, legal and compliance, as well as senior leaders across a large firm.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and communicate root causes and trends.

Ability to quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of information.

Strong time management skills with the ability to successfully handle competing priorities.

Education Level

Bachelor's Degree, Graduate Degree preferred. CFA/FRM is a plus
