Garrison Protective Services is seeking dedicated and reliable guard to be positioned

For a residential building located in the Bronx

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and have polished and professional demeanor, provide exceptional customer service.

Shifts: Saturday 5 pm to 11 :30 pm, Monday 5 pm to 11 pm , Tuesday 11 pm to 5 am and Wednesday, Thursday 11:30 pm to 5 am

Interviews will be done in our Forest Hills (Queens) office.

Wednesday 11 am to 6:30 pm, Thursday 11 am to 4:30 pm Friday 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Friday 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Sundays 10 am to 3 pm- must call for an appointment

Requirements:

Valid New York State security guard license

Ability to stand in one location for extended period of time and or complete foot patrol as required by the site.

Job Responsibilities

Daily interaction with residents and guests in a professional and pleasant manner

Liaise with building management and maintenance staff to respond to emergencies

Make visitors and residents feel welcomed and ensure they feel safe by following protocol

Stay alert and distracted to provide full attention to entrances, exits.

Maintain an orderly front desk and lobby

Follow directions given by the building super site

Alert and focus on the people entering and leaving the building

Turn away unauthorized personnel that enters the building

Communicate to management emergencies or important information to Mgmt.

Ability to handle stressful situations and make sound judgement calmly and effectively

Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner

Qualifications:

Must be reliable dependable and reliable attendance record

Must be a positive role model while on duty

Customer Services / Concierge experience a plus

Excellent customer service skills

Strong communication skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations

Attention to detail and strong observational skills
