We apply our problem-solving skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies, and we implement technology solutions to better handle our data.A Senior Data Management Professional is a key role within our organization responsible for optimizing our data for clients and improving our data operations. They act as technical leaders setting the strategy for data products, developing interconnected data models, crafting data architectures, ensuring data quality, and using various techniques, including programming and statistical methods, to extract valuable insights from data. They are expected to be problem solvers, effective communicators, and versatile at balancing technical expertise with a product-focused approach.Role:In this role you will be diving deep into complex annotation outputs - requiring you to understand the data requirements, specifying the modeling needs of datasets, using existing techstack for efficient data ingestion workflows, and data pipelining. You will implement technical solutions using programming, machine learning, AI, and human-in-the-loop approaches to make sure our annotation data is fit-for-purpose for our AI Engineering teams.Some additional responsibilities will include database management and quality assurance of the annotation data that our team relies on. This includes the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of new and existing ETL pipelines to align with evolving annotation efforts.To ensure that our data is fit for purpose, you will be an integral part in shaping our data quality strategy. In doing so, you will provide insights from our data through visualization tools. Examples of these insights include, quality and performance metrics, tag distribution analysis, project completion status, and sampling analysis. You will also develop a working relationship with our Engineering teams, where you will serve as a liaison between us to define the data quality vision and strategy for our suite of products. As our tooling continues to evolve, we will trust that you will be able to take ownership of our client escalation workflows and provide data driven solutions to help reveal optimal product strategy to key stakeholders.We'll trust you to:

Develop data-driven strategies, balancing the best of technical, product, financial and industry knowledge, and work with our Engineering and Product departments to craft solutions

Develop data quality strategies for our annotated datasets and implement scalable, lasting solutions

Develop interconnected data models that enable analysis across datasets and develop statistical analysis

You'll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, or a related Technical field or background

4+ years of programming experience in a development or production environment

Proficiency using scripting languages (preferably Python) to query and interrogate datasets

A solid grasp of data modeling principles and technologies such as data modeling, advanced statistical analysis, data ingestion, data enrichment, and data integration

Experience profiling new datasets, and implementing high volume, low-latency ETL pipelines

Understanding of quality assurance and quality control from a data and product perspective

Good interpersonal skills across various stakeholders (Engineering, Data Analysts, Product Managers, and Senior Management)

Proven track record of effective project management and a customer focused mentality

We’d love to see:

Experience with semantic analysis, annotation schemas, edge cases, and guidelines development

Experience working with human-in-the-loop workflows

Previous work, internship and/or academic experience in Data Analysis, Financial Market Research and/or Information Technology

A passion and curiosity about financial and economic data with the aspiration to work in the financial/fintech services industry

Experience implementing high volume, low-latency ETL pipelines

A passion for data and a demonstrated drive to set and uphold standard methodologies for data quality as a domain of data management
