  • Our Data Science & Advanced Analytics team – a part of Analytics, Research & Insights (ARI) – is looking for a senior data scientist.
  • This role will work closely with the Data Science, Finance and IT teams to build predictive models, machine learning tools and create measurable test designs to support a newly created content valuation initiative.
  • You will be integral to all aspects of the ML modeling lifecycle such as formulating problems, gathering data, generating hypotheses, developing models and algorithms, conducting experiments, synthesizing results, building prototype applications and communicating the significance of your work to key stakeholders.

  • Work closely with our Finance partners to define business requirements for company content valuations and model development.
  • Develop, manage and test machine learning models to measure and maximize the performance (and, the value) of company content across multiple platforms such as satellite car radio and Company App. The goal is to support our finance partners on decision-making of content creation and/or acquisition to maintain profitability and budgets.
  • Partner with engineering teams on model deployment, automation and design of KPI dashboards.
  • Present your work to relevant business stakeholders and senior management.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science (especially ML/AI), Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics or a related quantitative field; or relevant experience required
  • 3+ years of industry experience in a data science role, preferably with an ML focus
  • Experience implementing ML models at scale in a production environment
  • Experience with experimental test design/analysis
  • Experience with cloud platforms (especially AWS) is a plus
  • Experience working with Digital Media & Digital Subscription Platforms is a plus
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to learn the business and communicate with non-technical business partners
  • Must be exceptionally detail oriented and conscientious about checking data and results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive programming skills in Python, Java or C
  • Proficient with common Python data analysis packages (numpy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, etc.)
  • Proficient with common Python machine learning packages/API’s (scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.). Practical experience with deep learning platforms (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.) is a huge plus
  • Proficient with SQL and knowledge of database fundamentals
  • Experience with SparkML is a plus
  • Experience with version control tools (git, GitHub, GitLab, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience in building NLP/NLU models in professional setting is a plus
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
