Role: Senior Engineer Location: Manhattan, NY Duration: Until 1/31/23 Start Date: ASAP Description:
- Hands on keyboard engineer with experience in the DevOps space and, preferably, experience in the big data space.
- Thought leader in the team in the DevOps and CI/CD space
- Develop templatized, configuration driven applications that are easy to maintain
- Develop and maintain performance efficient applications that extract, load, and transform data in our data lake
- Maintain and secure sensitive data and information
- Develop applications with Test Driven or Behavioral Driven Development approach
- Architect and improve current solutions to use best of the industry patterns in the DevOps space
- Work in a high-performance agile team to deliver on the committed work
- Adapt to and learn about state-of-the-art technologies that can improve our current solution
- Primary: DevOps tools (ADO preferred), Java, Python, Helm Charts, Maven (or similar POM based tools), Spark, Spring Boot
- Secondary: Scala, Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, HBase, etc.), Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Orchestration tools (like Airflow). Streaming tools (NiFI/Streamsets etc)
