To strengthen its leadership in respiratory health, Pfizer is entering into the diagnostics space with the acquisition of the Lucira rapid molecular COVID and COVID & Flu tests, as well as a Pfizer-branded rapid antigen test. The addition of diagnostics to Pfizer's respiratory offerings provides the last piece enabling end-to-end care across prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.ROLE SUMMARYThis new role is accountable for optimizing Access, Pricing and Value of Pfizer's respiratory diagnostics. S/he will lead efforts to orchestrate and evolve the integrated Value & Access Strategy (IVAS) and implementation, be the steward of Value & Access discussions and decisions informing strategic trade-offs and drive broad and sustainable access. Pfizer's rapid molecular COVID & Flu asset is planned for an October 1, 2023 launch, while the rapid antigen test is planned for January 1, 2024 launch. This role will support the prelaunch work for both tests, working closely with relevant asset Access Matrix Teams (AMTs), Glocal Tables and broader cross-functional teams. Ensuring seamless patient access through end-to-end care will be a key aspect of role.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand drivers and barriers of diagnostic reimbursement in the US (key focus), Canada and globally

Orchestrate and evolve the Integrated Value & Access Strategy (IVAS) in response to competition and environmental changes

Assess and communicate external Access trends to anticipate potential challenges and opportunities

Develop robust Access evidence requirements based on payer and purchaser insights in partnership with V&E

Partner with USMA in GAV to incorporate feedback into IVAS and launch planning activities

Serve as global Access lead for all diagnostic commercialization efforts with launch team

Deliver recommendations relating to Price, Access and Value; represent the 'Voice of the Payer' at cross-functional and governance bodies

Drive creation and execution of payer / purchaser value proposition taking into consideration market/channel archetype and end-to-end care considerations

Develop and manage global price setting governance requirements and ensure pricing strategy ensures value for payers and purchasers

Lead collaboration & communication with external experts including consultancy engagements

Partner with all asset ASLs across respiratory therapeutic areas and maintain strong relationships with all key and cross-functional partners, including but not limited to Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, Marketing Excellence, Corporate Communications, Regulatory, Legal, Regions and CH&V

Continue to advance our capabilities in Diagnostic reimbursement and POC purchasing dynamics serving as a subject matter expert in GAV

Develop and deliver senior leader presentations related to Diagnostics Access

Support revenue forecast assumptions and annual operating plan development process

Manage / oversee all project budgets and spend

BASIC QUALIFICATIONSCandidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Bachelor's degree required

Minimum 15+ years' experience in market access & pricing, and / or health economics and related fields

Prior US diagnostic reimbursement experience

Able to actively contribute to create and operate in an environment that continuously encourages the implementation of innovative ideas and fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork across functional teams

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including agile way of working, solution oriented, the ability to influence and collaborate with peers and create business impact

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree in a healthcare, business or economic field preferred

Deep understanding of US, Canada payers, consumers

COVID-19, Flu or respiratory therapeutic experience

In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
