We are seeking a Senior Manager, IT Systems to be responsible for managing Information Technology professionals focused on low voltage fiber and copper, HVAC, and electrical work from an IT perspective. Responsibilities include:- Manage multiple teams of Information Technology professionals.
- Plan the work, delegate effectively and follow up with staff, providing support and guidance.
- Evaluate the team and its members' level of performance, to provide performance management and establish the delivery of top tier services.
- Mentor and identify training needs for team members, ensuring professional development and superior technical expertise.
- Responsible for resource allocation, managing assignments, and overseeing the work performed by the team.
- Oversee and manage projects ranging in size, complexity, and scope.
- Create schedules, assignments, priorities and direction to the team members and vendor personnel.
- Develop work and cost estimates, program priorities, resource requirements, project scope, and objectives.
- Serve as a liaison to the business units and end-users. Work with client managers to supply proposals and solutions that meet the client's specific needs.
- Provide documentation and communication to peers, subordinates, and senior management for status, coordination, objectives, and performance.
- Responsible for system documentation and coordinating the dissemination of it to stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships and work.
- Mitigate escalations of client incidents and issues. Assess and troubleshoot, consult with vendors, and coordinate with other teams for problem resolution.
- Remain abreast on and evaluate the need for new technologies.
- Experience managing IT professionals in a corporate enterprise including performance management
- Experience managing vendors:
- Cisco, Juniper TAC and Engineering
- Budgets, SLAs, OLAs
- Circuit providers, Crown Castle, Lightpath, Ciena
- Electrical, HVAC, others
- Strong knowledge of Incident Management
- Knowledge of Cisco and Aruba tools
- Knowledge of network cable, HVAC, and electrical infrastructure in an enterprise IT environment
- Implementation and deployment experience
- Experience with metrics and reporting with a tool such as Remedy or Service Manager
- Excellent communications and presentation skills
- ITIL certification
- Cisco certifications
- RCDD certification
