Senior Network Engineer

We are looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer to join our IT Global Infrastructure team. The individual will assist in the day to day management and administration of network and security operations, as well as implement next generation solutions. The role requires in-depth knowledge of network architecture, administration of network and security operations, LAN/WAN communications, network hardware/software, system backups and system recovery testing. The Senior Network Engineer will design, engineer and execute new implementations, following best practices and InfoSec standards. The successful candidate will report to the Director, Global Head of Network , and the Vice President, Network Operations. Primary Responsibilities: Supporting L2-L3 trouble tickets, projects, and process re-engineering efforts Performing analysis and diagnosis of our most complex networking problems Providing network system/architecture design expertise as required Creating documentation and testing of system recovery processes Supporting enterprise disaster recovery planning and testing Performing ongoing technical research to ensure that network is secure, highly reliable, performs well, is cost effective, and meets the needs of the business Qualifications and skills Minimum of 6-8 years relevant experience as a network engineer, ideally in an international financial services environment; Expert level knowledge of Ciscos data center product line (Nexus, ASR, ISR, etc.); Strong understanding of network routing and switching; DCN concepts including ACT, OTV, Fabric Path, LISP, VPC, VDC, VRFs, VXLAN; Expert Understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, L2/L3 switches; Cisco ACI experience - highly desirable; Fortinet experience - highly desirable; Cisco certified, or ability to demonstrate similar level of experience; Wireless network and security experience; Outstanding network, wireless, security and engineering/architecture skills; Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform); Experience in network automation (Terraform, Ansible, Python, YAML, etc.);
