DescriptionNA Ops Sustainability Strategy & Execution (SSE) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven sustainability professional to lead our Zero Waste and Sustainability Culture initiatives across North American operations. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive waste reduction strategies while fostering a culture of environmental responsibility throughout the Amazon operations organization.Key job responsibilitiesManage full lifecycle complex cross-functional programs with impact across multiple organizationsWork closely with partner teams and stakeholders in and outside of the organization to deliver, source, allocate, and coordinate resourcesHandle a high volume of requests, engagements and interactions in fast paced environmentTrack existing and set up new metrics as required to validate partner and team performanceDevelop and implement performance improvement plans, working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholdersReport on performance in weekly and monthly forums with partner teams and senior leadershipSet measurable targets that align with the overall goals of the organizationInfluencer: ability to identify opportunities and influence organizations to gain support and overcome resistance with data and persuasion.Doer: Ability to successfully deliver end-to-end technology and operations projects, working through the many obstacles along the wayCommunicator: Ability to present to senior leadership, communicate expectations and requirements equally well with business and technology teams, and capacity to write well-reasoned and data-oriented proposals, performing your own data examination as necessaryProblem Solver: Ability to utilize exceptional problem-solving skills to work through difficult tasksWork autonomously in an ambiguous environmentAbout the teamNA Ops Sustainability Strategy & Execution (SSE)'s vision is to Transform NA Operations to deliver every package with net-positive impact to our planet. Our team is new as of Q3 2024 and spans priorities across Amazon buildings, transportation, data, waste, and ops engagement. This role is specific for the Waste & Engagement team, working directly with NA Operators on an everyday cadence scaling waste and/or cultural programs.Basic Qualifications

5+ years of program or project management experience

Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

2+ years of driving process improvements experience

Experience influencing and recommending solutions to meet deliverables

Experience in developing structural solutions to ambiguous problems

Experience building relationships, negotiating, and influencing key stakeholders, internal and external partners to drive decisions

Advanced Excel skills

The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
