Position Overview As a part of the software engineering team, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain embedded software that interfaces with and/or controls INFICON products. The Senior Software Engineer provides expert knowledge of embedded software development techniques and leads the design and implementation effort.

Job Requirements
  • Design, develop, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain the software/firmware used within INFICON products
  • Analyze and understand requirements and generate test plan
  • Design and document embedded software architecture
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical directions
  • Represent the software development aspect of product development in product planning meetings pertaining to the Senior Software Engineer's domain of expertise
  • Lead day-to-day technical development efforts

Required Skills
  • Expert in C and C
  • Basic level of Python
  • Bare metal and RTOS programming
  • Understanding of hardware schematics
  • Understanding of network programming
  • Experience in I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485
  • Experience in troubleshooting using oscilloscope, logic analyzer or similar
  • Linux experience is a plus
  • Continuous integration experience is a plus

Education and Experience Required
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5-7 seven years of industry experience,

    in C/C, Embedded
