Start your Voyage - Apply Now Position Summary:The Senior Systems Engineer will work to develop solutions to meet business and IT needs.They will work closely with architects and system engineers to ensure that solutions are both conformant to architectural guidance and integrate well within operational environments. They will be expected to have expertise in different technology stacks and understand the complex inter-workings between the technology stacks. This role requires a depth and breadth of technical subject matter expertise to provide guidance and oversight for critical systems within specific technologies.Serves as the highest-level technical expert, resolving problems of systems integration, compatibility, performance potentially across multiple platforms; provides feasibility analysis on potential projects.Technologies and skills in play here include Windows, application, and platform security (access/identity), system scripting, and integrationPosition Description:- Act as a thought leader to solve challenges and lead others on implementation improvements.
- Ensure that systems (e.g., infrastructure, application) conform to architectural standards.
- Address issues and collaborate to implement changes as necessary.
- Work collaboratively and provide expertise to system engineers and project teams.
- inspecting LAN/WAN issues and offer opportunities.
- Utilize deep SDLC experience to provide support from architecture to implementation.
- Oversee systems testing including stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and scalability testing.
- Develop systems scripting to develop automation processes, streamline routines, etc.
- Troubleshoot/resolve system issues including but not limited to network and application configuration, infrastructure, or database issues, interface issues, and batch program issues.
- Knowledge of coding and/or scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Powershell, KSH, Python, SAS)
- Strong systems script development experience and the ability to write scripts
- Strong Windows server experience including administration and troubleshooting
- Windows 2019 server administration including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO and PowerShell
- Dell/EMC VSAN, VXRail, VMWare, Avamar Backup and Recovery Point
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365
- SolarWinds ARM, Orion and Network Performance Monitor
- Manage Engine Desktop Central and Service Desk
- Synology NAS
- Cisco switches, Ivanti Pulse Secure and ForcePoint Next Gen Firewall
- Linux OS is a plus.
