Eaton is currently seeking Senior Tax Analyst to join our team in Houston, Texas. Relocation assistance is offered. Position Overview:The Senior Tax Analyst for International Tax Strategy position is a dynamic position that supports the International Tax Strategy group with various international tax planning and compliance projects that directly impact shareholder value. It’s where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours.In this role, you will: Performs tax research on a variety of issues, including, international tax provisions of the US Internal Revenue Code, US rules related to corporations and partnerships, tax treaties, and US inbound/outbound taxation.

Assists with various international tax projects including: cross-functional Legal Entity Simplification projects, internal legal structure reorganizations, efficient cash management, and non-US host country tax planning.

Assists in the international tax compliance and provision process including preparation of US international tax forms (e.g., Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, etc.), earnings & profits and tax pool calculation/maintenance, statement/election preparation, and IRS audit support.

Provides support for modeling and quantitative analysis

Provides support on Federal tax matters as needed.

Minimum one (1) year of public accounting and/or multinational corporate tax experience

Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Taxation

International tax experience

CPA

Position Success Criteria:Thorough knowledge of Federal and International income tax law (e.g. Subchapter C, Subchapter K, international tax provision, tax treaties, transfer pricing, etc)

Fundamental understanding and knowledge of income tax accounting

Ability to research and communicate tax technical issues

High level of issue recognition skills is required, opportunity recognition skill sets also required

Business operational knowledge and understanding is a must

Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities and meet deadlines

Solid computer skills including Microsoft applications, financial accounting systems, and tax compliance programs

Excellent communication skills including strong written communication skills across various functions and management hierarchies

Ability and desire to continuously learn and be challenged
