This role combines deep industry expertise with advanced data science and modeling capabilities to drive and oversee the implementation of innovative ML/AI-based solutions, leveraging both proprietary and acquired data to meet client needs and align with broader Groupe objectives. As the lead for CoreAI Analytics for Automotive, the role will integrate data and technology to drive product development and roadmap creation, collaborating across teams to deliver scalable AI applications that enhance client business outcomes.Responsibilities
Analytic Solutions Leadership – Automotive Solutions Roadmap:
Partner with Solutions Groupe business strategists to translate industry-specific challenges – such as growing household penetration for an OEM brand, media sufficiency for Engagement vs. Conversion goals, customer retention, and sales forecasting – into defined Analytic Data Products that can drive revenue for Publicis.
Proposed and own AI-driven analytic frameworks tailored to address specific client needs within the automotive vertical. Use category knowledge to assess current capabilities and data science offerings internally at Publicis across audience insights, investment strategy, media activation, measurement, and budget optimization, and then propose and own an Analytic Solutions Roadmap for automotive.
Design and own customized advanced analytics products that leverage data science techniques, industry best practices, and a product-innovation mindset to strengthen the CoreAI analytic solutions portfolio for Automotive in a way that keeps Publicis ahead of our category competition.
Data-Driven Product Strategy:
Own the end-to-end development of the CoreAI automotive analytics roadmap centered on connected data and ML/AI models (including predictive analytics, deep learning, and machine learning algorithms) to support complex automotive sector needs in marketing & media and create scalable, revenue-generating outcomes.
Comfortable with leveraging large and complex automotive datasets both proprietary and third party (e.g., telematics, CRM, sensors, dealer inventory car flow) to inform solution development and optimize AI-based models, stitching together data sets that create impactful client solutions.
Have a practical knowledge and understanding of automation programming languages and tools such as Python, TensorFlow, GenAI, and other AI/ML frameworks for their role and value in building and deploying scalable analytic data products & solutions.
Maintain a mindset that continuously explores opportunities to integrate the advanced analytic solutions and AI agents into CoreAI workflows, the Growth OS, and clients’ ecosystems and processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to design, integrate, and fine-tune AI technologies, ensuring seamless implementation within the automotive workflow.
Initiate workshops and discussions with strategic partners and technical SME leads as needed to ensure there is cross-functional clarity of objectives and prioritized use cases, agreement on key performance indicators (KPIs), and sufficient definition on project scopes.
Thought Leadership & Industry Innovation:
Stay abreast of trends, technologies, and best practices within the automotive industry and AI/data science fields.
Contribute to the company’s growth by developing case studies, white papers, and industry presentations highlighting success stories with the deployment of innovative AI-based analytics in CoreAI.
Support internal knowledge sharing and training programs to elevate the team’s expertise in automotive analytics.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or consulting within the automotive sector.
Proven experience in client-facing roles, delivering advanced analytic solutions for automotive clients.
Understanding of automotive business processes (e.g., sales, manufacturing, supply chain) and a passion for leveraging data to drive innovation in the automotive industry.
Technical Skills:
Sufficient applied knowledge of advanced analytics methods that enable audience segmentation, programmatic bid optimization, time series/forecasting, budget scenario planning, and test & learn experimental designs.
Practical understanding of relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL), predictive modeling, ML/AI/deep learning techniques and frameworks, expert systems,
Practical experience and understanding of the general AdTech/MarTech platform and vendor landscape (e.g., ADH, Meta AA, AMC, Adobe, Salesforce, CDPs), data cloud/mesh/lakes (e.g., GCP, Azure, AWS), and neutral clean rooms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake).
Practical exposure to BI visualization tools (e.g., Datorama, Tableau).
Experience with automotive data sources both Publicis-proprietary and third party (e.g., vehicle registrations, telematics, CRM, manufacturing and supply chain databases), and automotive industry software solutions.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage automotive clients and stakeholders.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and leading cross-functional projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (e.g., PhD) in Data Science/CS, Engineering, Marketing Science, Economics, or a related field are a plus.
Certifications in analytics or data science (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Certified Analytics Professional).
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing Science, Economics, or a related field.
