General Summary: This position is responsible for the shaping of the shoes on the last

Major Responsibilities:

Places insole on last.

Place counter on the shoe.

Apply the toe box on the upper.

Last the upper on the back molding.

Last toe on the toe laster.

Hand last the side.

Apply the outsole and heel.

Special projects as needed.

Other duties as required

Ability to understand and follow somewhat complex verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with others

Decisions are guided by precedent and interpretation of applicable laws, etc. and have impact on others and the organization

Work responsibilities frequently concern confidential and/or sensitive information requiring the use of discretion at all times

Job duties are widely diverse, and frequently require conceptualizing, planning and implementing

Strong follow-up and completion skills

Under limited supervision, anticipates and solves problems for self and other lower level employees

Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

2-4 years experience in shoe lasting.

Spanish Speaking a plus
