Shop Mechanic / Tig Welder

An engineering and manufacturing company in Holbrook, NY is currently seeking a Full-Time person to build and assemble custom industrial machinery.

Position Overview:

Full Time Hourly Position: Tig Welder with Mechanical Skills.

Equipment manufacturer located in Holbrook, NY has an immediate opening on our production floor. The successful candidate will liaison with our Manufacturing Engineering Department.

Minimum Requirements:

Good communication skills and positive "can do" attitude.

Reliable with working transportation.

Tig Welding from 16 gage to 1/2" primarily Stainless Steel and some Aluminum

Read and understand technical drawings.

Functions, Requirements, and Responsibilities:

Knowledge and use of hand and power tools and safety

Basic print reading with continuous training

Utilize and control inventory

Maintain a clean workspace and neat appearance

Dependable transportation

Good communication and team skills

The ability to handle constructive input and ask questions

Diagnose and troubleshoot with continuous training

Ability to travel a plus

Ability to drive a forklift with continuous training

Experience with Machine tools with continuous training

Experience: We are interested in candidates with experience, however, we also encourage applicants with good peripheral qualities who are recent graduates and veterans.
