Snowflake Data Engineer

Role: Snowflake data Engineer Long term - 12+ months Location - Boston or New York or Raleigh or Dallas Hybrid - 1 week in a month onsite at the client. Minimum experience - 12+ years of experience Senior Data Engineer This role will be responsible for designing and developing the technical solution and will be a hands-on technology professional. This role will closely collaborate with the Tech Lead and other members of the squad to deliver quality solutions to support the business needs Must have skills

• Concepts of data modeling & data warehousing, Dimensions & Facts
• Experience of managing daily change data capture e.g. SCD Type 2
• End to end data warehousing process with data quality check
• Snowflake SQL experience e.g. pros & cons w.r.t on prem databases like Oracle, DB2 etc.
• Extensive SQL experience with business logic & data transformation involved
• Understanding of data on why and how it is important
• Performance tuning

• Bachelor's degree
• Ability in designing and delivering data lake, data warehouses and reporting platforms
• Strong expertise in SQL is a must
• Experience with Extract, Transform & Load and ELT development is required
• Familiarity and good understanding of Data Models - relational and dimension models is required
• Experience with AWS cloud technology is required
• Experience with multiple database technologies required and Snowflake desired
• Experience with CI/ CD and software version control
• Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, OBIEE, etc. is a plus
• Programming experience is preferred with Python, Java
