A Long Island-based manufacturing company is looking to add a new Solution Engineer - Sales (Salesforce) to their growing team.
Responsibilities: The Solution Engineer - Sales (Salesforce) will:- Acts as the enterprise-wide Salesforce.com functionality expert - able to identify opportunities for improvement via configuration and/or bolt on applications
- Works with business functions, such as Sales, Marketing, Finance and IT - to understand business strategy and define CRM and related technology system requirements to meet business objectives.
- Work as needed with external development and support team with experience leading both Waterfall and Agile projects improve the SDLC and train junior resources on best practices
- Support the Salesforce.com platform governance and related product councils to help extract business requirements, develop user stories, and prioritize solutions based on business value criteria
- Support a data-driven business culture by implementing sales performance and reporting solutions; work with peers to co-create and deliver on an enterprise analytics strategy
- Ensure adherence to IT Architecture principles and guidelines; lead the introduction of new technology initiatives with the Sales function as well as lead system upgrades
- Responsible for the development of platform SLAs and responsible for platform trainings
- 7+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM) with mid-market or enterprise implementations required
- 7+ years of Salesforce configuration & development experience including workflow, process builder, Flow, APEX (classes, triggers and web services), Visual Force, Salesforce APIs, SOQL and Force.com
- 5+ years of progressive Sales Technology experience with at least 2 years in a Sales Systems lead role
- 2+ years of Salesforce Lightning experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Strong business analyst and project management experience
- General knowledge of all IT disciplines and technology platforms, such as ERP, Marketing Tech, Infrastructure and related areas
- Considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- 2 years of experience with Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Community
- Experience with Salesforce integrations with SAP, Sitecore, Workday, etc.
- Experience with private label manufacturing sales process
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ, CTI, PLM and Sales Enablement App Exchange solutions
- Experience with partnering to develop the maturity of the Sales operation
