We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our elevated BBQ bar/ restaurant team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation in faced paced BBQ bar/ restaurant. This role requires strong leadership abilities, culinary expertise, and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards. The Sous Chef will play a vital role in inventory management, and fostering a positive kitchen environment.

Duties

Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.

Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure adherence to culinary standards.

Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Participate in menu planning, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes and special events.

Prepare high-quality meals for guests while ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods, including banquets and special events.

Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.

Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management.

Experience in team management with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of kitchen staff.

Familiarity with inventory management systems and menu planning processes.

Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
