Serve others.OLV Human Services is seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our Intensive Treatment Program at Victory Learning Center at Ridge.Our Intensive Treatment Program classrooms for students ages 5-21 at our 650 Ridge school site in Lackawanna, NY (just 10 minutes south of Buffalo)! Our education program strives to provide specialized, high quality educational programming for students with and without disabilities across Western New York. Our programs serve Pre-K through 12th grade students in 5 schools, with a focus on blending academic and social emotional support to meet the diverse needs of all learners.Benefits:

=FULL JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Summary:The Intensive Treatment Program (ITP) will include working with adolescents, typically 12 – 18 years old that are diagnosed on the Autism spectrum with mental health concerns and developmental or intellectual disabilities. Provide speech/language therapy services to individuals with Autism, Intellectual Disability and/or mental illness as outlined in their Individual Education Plan. Services are to be provided in accordance with New York State practice act guidelines for Speech/Language Therapy Services, the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association as well as in accordance with all company, state and federal standards and regulations; as well as within all regulations and requirements set forth by the organizations with which the company collaborates.Essential Job Duties:

Reviews all available documentation related to the individual prior to beginning treatment; including the IEP, script and prior evaluations if available.

Develops an appropriate treatment plan for each individual.

Performs treatments according to IEP and accepted professional standards and practices.

Conducts ongoing assessment of individual during each visit, and modifies goals/outcomes/treatment plan accordingly.

Creates daily visual schedules, activity schedules as needed.

Trains and supports other personnel in appropriate strategies to build expressive/receptive language skills.

Implements Alternative and Augmentative Communication systems, as appropriate, for non-verbal or limited verbal youth.

Performs appropriate parent/caregiver education and develops home programs as necessary.

Works as part of a multidisciplinary team, utilizing communication with all team members to enhance the treatment program of the individual.

Maintains an accurate schedule.

Submits all required documentation of visits according to established procedure.

Performs evaluations as assigned and when necessary.

Communicates with families on a regular basis.

Keeps abreast of legal responsibilities, professional ethics, standards of practice and agency rules, policies and regulations.

Provides for own professional growth by attending continuing education and in-services; tracking this to assure compliance with state licensing requirements.

Discontinues therapy when child no longer meets eligibility requirements.

Maintains client confidentiality with HIPPA/FERPA and agency guidelines.

Attends department meetings and any other meetings required by your supervisor.

Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by their direct supervisor.

Skills:Basic computer skillsEducation:Minimum Degree Required: Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology/Communication DisordersExperience:Minimum Experience Required: 1-2 years’ experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and Applied Behavior Analysis methodologyLicense/Registration/ Certification: Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped Certification in NYS Valid NYS SLP Licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) Current NYS Driver’s LicenseAdditional Information:

Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday
