Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the logistics industry for a Sr. Accountant. In this role, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities in financial management and analysis. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. Analyze and manage balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Maintain and manage general ledger entries and adjustments. Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review. Utilize Microsoft Great Plains Accounting and Advanced Excel for various accounting tasks. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and properly posted. Perform month-end close procedures efficiently and accurately. Analyze income statements for discrepancies and irregularities. Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit specifications. Leverage your skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. Requirements Possesses a strong understanding of account reconciliation Proficient with balance sheet reconciliation Skilled in conducting bank reconciliations Has a solid knowledge of general ledger Capable of preparing and analyzing journal entries Proficient in Microsoft Excel Able to handle tasks related to month-end close Experience with Microsoft Great Plains Accounting Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Logistics industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
