Job Summary

The Sr. Cloud Solutions Architect (CSA) is responsible for the development, design, and stable operation of the cloud-based infrastructure environment. The CSA serves as a cloud subject matter expert who implements and oversees the firm's cloud environment. The CSA works with both internal and external clients as part of a team. The CSA analyzes and provides direction on major projects supporting key business initiatives. The CSA researches issues, proposes and implements solutions, and advocates for software and systems to support the firm.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with software development teams to create cloud services and to deploy customer-facing web solutions.
  • Produce quality cloud architecture plans and be able to understand and troubleshoot architecture.
  • Architect and product proof -of-concepts supporting custom web applications and services
  • Facilitate automation and streamline operations and processes.
  • Deploy and document tools and services for deployment, monitoring and operations.
  • Create runbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Stay apprised of the latest technologies and see how they can be applied to the Firm's needs.
  • Translate clients' requirements into highly technical specifications.
  • Determine potential solutions and test them for technical and business suitability.
  • Establish standards and assist in monitoring and adherence to standards that are implemented.
  • Interact extensively with external and internal clients.
  • Mentor technology colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lead and be a team member on projects.
  • Understanding of AWS VPCs, subnetting, and routing, along with proficiency working with virtual environments.
  • Ability to plan a project, keep it on schedule, communicate on status, and follow through to completion.
  • Understanding of event-driven microservices architecture residing within the AWS cloud, including experience deploying applications within this type of environment.
  • Expertise with AWS services and implementation practices.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and analysis skills.
  • Ability to multi-task to address multiple and often conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Aptitude to use logic and reasoning to review complex problems, develop options, and implement solutions.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration; or equivalent experience required
  • 7+ years' experience maintaining and supporting IT environments for day to day business support
  • 5+ years' experience supporting AWS or other cloud infrastructure technologies
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified Developer-Associate preferred
  • Previous experience in complex system design required
  • Knowledgeable of monitoring and governance offerings within AWS (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VP Flow Logs, etc.).
  • Scripting expertise in multiple languages such as Python, Node.js, and PowerShell
  • Experience in Application Development utilizing C#, Angular, and Relational Databases
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform for provisioning of public and private clouds.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling for broad scope orchestration, including platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in serverless and container-based technologies within AWS such as Lambda, Fargate, and ECS
Hiring Minimum: $151,000

Hiring Maximum: $226,900
