Core Responsibilities

Conducts QA reviews that will mitigate potential violations and improves operational performance.

Prepares QA reports and findings. Presents/communicates findings to operating organizations and upper management. Presents plans for corrective action.

Provides corrective actions that improve work practices and procedures to ensure the Company is in compliance with Federal, State, and local codes.

Prepares and disseminates lessons learned from past experience, observations, and analysis of identified problems.

Investigates major incidents and serves on incident review committees. Serves as liaison to various utility committees and regulatory agencies

Performs root and apparent cause analysis using documented methods and software applications to develop corrective actions.

Tracks and verifies the completion of corrective actions using various database and investigative applications.

Participates in the procedure and standard development process as needed.

Performs record and field reviews in a highly motivated manner that demonstrates a strong commitment to excellence and personal accountability.

Participates in compliance committees, procedure development committees and training reviews.

Works independently, maintains confidentiality and place a high significance on personal accountability. Promotes a positive work ethic that supports our Corporate Values and Mission Statement of Con Edison.

Participates in assigned standby and storm duties.

Coordinates/oversees spill response activities during off-hours on an on-call, rotating schedule basis.

Routinely assess the effectiveness of processes that monitor, track and verify corrective actions from regulatory agencies and Quality Assurance. Ensure other operational reviews are properly implemented and sustained including System Administrator for Companywide ARCHER system and OSA facilitator

Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in Operations (Electric, Gas, Construction and/or Substations), Auditing or Quality Assurance.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree

Relevant Work Experience

Must possess a working knowledge of federal, state and local safety and environment regulations Required

Must possess strong organizational, planning and project management skills. Required

Must be flexible to handle multiple assignments, changing priorities and meet deadlines. Required

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to effectively interact with business unit personnel and various levels of management. Required

Must have outstanding decision-making skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Required

Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Required

Familiarity with Operating specifications and Procedures Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

Driver's License Required

Other Physical Demands

Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.

Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.

Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.

Must be able to climb ladders, enter sub-surface structures, and excavations.

Must be able to be Respirator fit qualified within 6 months.
