SSRS Reports / .Net Developer

GENESYS Consuslting is seeking a SSRS Reports/.Net Developer for a 6 month position based in NYC. Under the direction of the client, the SSRS Reports/.Net Developer will develop dynamic compliance reports that incorporates the needs of Electronic Laboratory Reporting (ELR), Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) and Syndromic Surveillance Registry reporting. The project requires the reporting capability to be integrated with the client's .NET application (Reporting Portal) and CRM - Informatics Management System (IMS). Application integration will focus on developing cross-system integration to improve current compliance reports though a dynamic visualization and reporting tool and integrate with applications that can be accessed internally and externally.

• Analyze system specifications and evaluate business requirements to support the client with workplan projections.
• Understand compliance reporting requirements across projects and integration with Reporting Portal and Informatics Management System environments.
• Assess data visualizations and recommend improvements.
• Understand the process for provisioning access to reports and data within reports in SSRS.
• Provision access to reports and data within reports to internal and external SSRS users based on users’ access rights.
• Develop centralized, uniform and dynamic compliance reports that incorporates the needs of ELR, eCR, and Syndromic registries that is accessible internally and externally through Reporting Portal.
• Develop dynamic reporting interface through filterable parameters and integrate with Reporting Portal.
• Embed reporting links within CRM Informatics Management System.
• Understand the customer journey through the dynamic compliance report interface and recommend improvements.
• Support testing resources to complete functional and nonfunctional test cases.
• Remediate bug defects found by application testing resources.
• Author application release reports and technical design documents.
• Develop complex ETL data transformations using SSIS and stored procedures and conduct performance tuning to optimize the system.
• Work closely with the Technical Lead and the Project Manager to review requirements and provide work effort estimations.
• Provide status updates to project manager and technical lead.
• Provide architecture oversight and code review
• Resolve all security scan issues identified and create a knowledgebase of common security issues.
• Develop and maintain IT architecture diagrams of enterprise, business, data, security and / or technology architectures for IT solutions, concepts and strategies to meet business requirements for target audiences.
• Define and maintain the methodology, principles, roadmap, standards and guidelines for IT architecture team for security, reuse, interoperability and integration.
• Confirm the conformance of applications, components and service to established standards. Ensure compliance with architecture standards and guidelines throughout the application development lifecycle.
• Assist with major internally developed projects and new software products, including continued support, documentation and training.
• Identify probable system problems or design flaws and escalates issues to upper management before serious performance impact.
• Continuously learn new technologies and participate in adoption of new technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science
• 6-10 years of relevant experience
• Professional certification in SSRS.
• Professional certification in the Microsoft .Net framework.

• Strong hands-on experience of development work, writing application software, data analysis, data visualizations, data access, data structure, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation and software conversions.
• Knowledge and experience developing SSIS packages.

• Knowledge and experience building complex SSRS reports.
• Software QA testing experience: develop test cases, test steps from business requirements and validate test results.
• Experience with systems analysis and translating business requirements into technical specifications and database diagrams.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with a strong work ethic
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong desire to keep up to date on latest technology trends.

• Knowledge and experience developing in Microsoft SQL 2008R2/2012R2 environment using SQL.
• Knowledge and experience of application development in .NET, .NET 4.0/4.5.
• Knowledge and experience with data integration in .net application and CRM tool.
• Software QA testing experience: develop test cases, test steps from business requirements and validate test results.
