Description As a Staff Accountant, you will be an integral part of a growing finance team, responsible for assisting in various accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Analyze financial data and provide insights to management as needed.

Process accounts payable invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments. Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding invoices, and facilitate collections efforts.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances and identify any discrepancies. Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.

Review and reconcile employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation.

Conduct variance analysis and trend analysis to identify potential areas of improvement or risk. Assist in preparing ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested.

Assist in maintaining internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

1-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
