Title- STRATEGIC SOURCING / Sourcing Category Lead / Manager (CLINICAL and NON-CLINICAL / PURCHASED SERVICES) Offices located in Tarrytown, New York. This position is responsible for the end-to-end process from source-to-contract for the given category, for appraising and improving sourcing activities by analyzing external spend and opportunities while developing strong strategic relationships with suppliers. Responsibilities include: - Managing the supplier portfolio and ensure transparency of spending - Generating and implementing efficient sourcing and category management - Analyzing procurement costs (Total cost of ownership) and suggesting strategy, structure and methods to decrease cost base including benchmarking - Negotiating with suppliers and securing favorable contract terms - Conducting external market research on supplier trends and anticipating shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers - Developing strategic relationships with suppliers - Overseeing 2-3 sourcing professionals which includes measuring performance, empowerment and coaching - Developing strategy for major sub spend groups included in the category - Reporting savings achieved against savings targets - Understand market dynamics and use business judgment to execute projects or initiate.Ideal Candidate should have:- Familiarity with Supply chain / Sourcing /Procurement processes - Experience working ideally in a hospital or healthcare setting - Knowledge of Supply Chain / Sourcing / Procurement software and systems - Significant experience with complex negotiations - Advanced problem solving skills - Excellent interpersonal skills - Strong drive for results - Great sense of urgency
