About the Corporate Communications Team:The Corporate Communications team sits within Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA), which seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues. Corporate Communications is a nimble team in ESPA that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, including executive communications, public engagements, corporate reputation programs as well as communications supporting our lines of business. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce of more than 240,000 colleagues. As SVP of DEI Communications, you will drive our narrative internally through colleague engagement and externally through media, speaking engagements and digital/social channels. To achieve success, you will partner closely with leaders in the Human Resources organization and across Global CommunicationsResponsibilities:This role will be a key member of the Corporate Communications team and will help manage high visibility work that supports partners across the organization, including the c-suite. The DEI communications lead will play a pivotal role in shaping internal and external communications that position Citi as an employer of choice. Among the responsibilities:

Lead strategy and execute multi-channel communications in support of programs and initiatives related to HR and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Support communications for our global inclusion networks and leaders

Partner internally with HR and DE&I business leads to elevate and highlight interesting stories and insights using social media and other engaging channels

Manage situations and crisis communications on issues with potential reputational impact

Support executive communications for Citi’s Chief Diversity Officer and other leaders, including town halls or other speaking engagements, written and video messages, and media opportunities

Develop a range of communication materials, including internal memos and news stories, media statements and social media posts, and work with stakeholders internally and externally to develop and approve content

Monitor internal feedback, media trends and social media dialogue, analyze and make recommendations for action

Use quantitative/qualitative insights to drive decisions, measure success and encourage positive change within the organization

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communications or other related field

10+ years of relevant experience, preferably within large and complex organizations

Subject matter expertise and passion for cultivating a culture of inclusion and belonging

Demonstrated track record of conducting successful and proactive communications programs that employ creativity and use a variety of tools, forums and media

Exceptional writing and editing skills

Experience working with journalists, generating positive media coverage that supports business objectives

Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives and other stakeholders

Integrity, maturity, dependability and a positive professional attitude

A leader who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to contribute

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Strategic mindset to integrate business strategy into all communications

Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
