This role is a 35 work week position The primary function of this role is to design, develop and maintain the Company’s FP&A system (Adaptive Insights), support the administration of its various other financial systems (PeopleSoft, Access based inventory transactions, Excel based sales, units, trade promotion, and customer profitability reporting), synthesize data between the Company’s various financial systems, and create reports to support financial analysis and reporting of results. This position will lead the effort to enhance the utilization of Adaptive by incorporating more data from other financial systems, improving automation of extracting data, and building meaningful reporting tools to support the needs of FP&A, Accounting, Tax and the Businesses.Responsibilities:
  • Maintain data integrity between Adaptive Insights, PeopleSoft, and the Company’s various source financial systems performing monthly reconciliations. Lead efforts to identify and solve problems.
  • Administer changes and updates across all systems to accommodate changing business needs and reporting requirements, such as creating new accounts, legal entities, products, categories, etc. This includes developing and testing proposed changes, as well as designing new reporting and updating existing reports.
  • Load and proof data for budget cycles
  • Understand and monitor business needs and reporting requirements to create custom reports that help deliver analytical insight
  • Ensure system integrity and controls: periodic testing, data checks
  • Generate the monthly, quarterly and annual management report files
  • Coordinate and consolidate the budget and forecast submissions on a global basis
  • Assist with preparation of presentations for the Board of Directors, Shareholders, Companywide “town hall” meetings, etc.
  • Support IT with financial systems planning and implementation
  • Create process documentation and provide training to users
  • Fulfill ad-hoc reporting requests and provide reports/data to support the domestic and international businesses, senior management, and corporate functions

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
  • 5+ years of progressive Data Management, Information Systems and Accounting or Finance experience and exposure to operations in a consumer goods environment.

Required Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other computerized accounting and financial reporting systems; experience with Adaptive Insights, PeopleSoft and Access a plus
  • Sound analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) abilities
  • General knowledge of budgeting and US GAAP accounting and reporting
  • Ability to get into the details as well as see the big picture
  • Able to effectively and proactively organize, analyze, and present data with solutions
  • Proven mathematical, analytical, research, and quantitative skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline intensive environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and with international team members
  • Flexibility, strong time management skills and self-starter attitude as ad-hoc projects and support analyses are a significant aspect of this role
