Position Summary: The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's information technology infrastructure. Duties include but are not limited to: Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Designs, implements, and maintains scalable, secure and performant IT systems Creates detailed system documentation and training collateral Secures systems utilizing the principle of least privilege (PoLP) Creates, tests, refines, and deploys Microsoft Group Policies Implements a lite touch OS deployment system, including creating new master images Utilizes scripting to automate routine tasks Coordinates with managers and users to identify system issues; assesses severity of the problem and prioritizes responses as appropriate Maintains file system and backup infrastructure, including backup policies, schedules, and testing DR restores Participates in business continuity and disaster recovery planning Participates in system validation testing Monitors network infrastructure and health Performs other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to conduct research and independently learn new technical concepts Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision or as part of a team Demonstrated advanced knowledge of the following: Microsoft Windows Server and Domain environment (Active Directory / Certificate Authorities / DFS / DHCP / DNS / NPS / WDS / WSUS) Experience with one or more cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google) Microsoft O365 iSCSI and SAN Networking: firewalls, routers, switches/VLAN, 802.1x, VoIP VMWare or other virtualization platforms Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computing and Information Technologies or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience Requires advanced to expert knowledge of a broad range of IT functions (systems administration, networking, security, software development and database administration) At least five years of experience in server and network design At least five years End User onsite and remote technical support One of more Microsoft certifications (MCSE Core Infrastructure / MCSA Server) Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit https://www.modis.com/en-candidate-privacy/ The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.modis.com/en-candidate-privacyThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records
