Title: Systems Engineer

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11201 (On-site)

Job Type: 24 months contract with possible further extension

Duties:

Experience with container systems (Docker/Openshift) and container orchestration (e.g. Openshift, EKS, Kubernetes, Swarm), Kubernetes experience
Strong scripting experience in one of the following; Bash, Perl, Python (preferred), PowerShell, Ruby, Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices
Experience with automation tools, including Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
Defining and setting the infrastructure for development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps
Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SSL/TLS, Layer 3 and Layer 7 load balancing)
Strong experience with AWS, AZURE, and Google Cloud Platform
Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities
Linux server administration experience or a deep understanding of Linux/Unix
Experience with Version Control Systems CVS, SVN, GIT
Implemented cloud and cloud like services IAAS, PAAS , and SaaS which include OpenStack , Docker and OpenShift
Kubernetes to orchestrate the deployment, scaling and management of Docker/Openshift Containers
Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
Monitoring stacks, such as Prometheus, Alert Manager, Grafana, ELK
