Technical Data Analyst

We are looking for a Technical Data Analyst that has previous experience working with Java to join an accomplished team of SDLC professionals in New York. In this role, you will provide expert review and analysis of source code to identify and document data processing stages. You will leverage your knowledge of Java language syntax and constructs and common Java development practices such as naming conventions and application structure to provide valuable information to the development team. The ideal candidate for the Technical Analyst role will be capable of serving as the team’s Java Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing information and feedback on existing code and systems. W2 only Responsibilities

• Review, document and analyze Java source code to identify key data elements and provenance within applications.
• Analyze and interpret data using different tools and techniques.
• Must be familiar with the Java software development environment e.g. git, Maven, and Eclipse
• Identify and document data processing (e.g., enrichments, transformations, derivations, aggregations).
• Identify and document data elements passing to downstream applications through to the final data repository supporting reporting.
• Develop and foster collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals with colleagues in the organization.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to execute in a cross-functional and collaborative way.

• • Proficient in Core Java.
  • Extensive experience with data processing and documentation
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including writing queries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Business analyst or other technical analyst experience
• Experience in the operational, compliance, and/or market risk domains.
• Experience with Solidatus or other data mapping tools.
• Working knowledge of Regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., CCAR, BCBN239, CECL) or previous data lineage experience.
• Familiarity with the Spring Framework is a strong plus.
