- Incumbent is a VMWare Horizon and Windows SME, with comprehensive knowledge of VMWare EUC platforms,
- Windows user environments and Microsoft RDS.
- Duties include design, engineer, automate and maintain daily remote access technologies.
- The professionals must be capable manage performance and rectify any errors that occur within the virtual desktop environment.
- Partner and collaborate with Enterprise Security to understand and implement security standards to our VDI environment.
- Optimize and automate solutions for management and deployment of VDI applications, operating systems, updates, and configuration changes.
- They should have proficiency in ITIL and other IT operations frameworks.
- The professional should be able to provide all the necessary support for VDI and RDS.
- Role does not require travel but may require work outside of customary business hours and/or on-call rotation.
- 5+ years with configuration and support of VMWare Horizon and Microsoft Windows products and technologies.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and interoperability with various network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, VMware ESXi operating systems.
- Knowledge of information security techniques to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.
- Working knowledge of network tools, such as, Visio, Wireshark, etc.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of MS SQL databases.
- Ability to communicate with other employees in the company in both technical and non-technical roles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analyzes and evaluates major system project requirements of considerable complexity requiring a thorough understanding of all parameters affecting and interfacing with the system.
