Our client, a NYC Global Investment Bank, is looking to hire a full time employee for a

Trade Floor / Help Desk Support role

. You will work in a fast-paced team environment supporting the Trading floor, Middle, and Back-Office users. As First Level Support, the role is responsible for fielding and resolving user inquiries, responding to/documenting issues via phone or during a desk side visit. Identifying, organizing and prioritizing issues and routing to appropriate staff. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious self-starter that takes the initiative.

THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Thorough familiarity with Windows and MS Office applications and collaboration tools
  • Knowledge of Market Data (Reuters/Bloomberg) and other trading applications
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server/Desktop
  • Work on assigned Distributed Computing projects and tasks
  • Follow change control processes and procedures
  • Research/recommend innovative solutions and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks
  • Follow established guidelines and identify and resolve problems
  • May also be accountable for regular reporting or process administration as owner.
  • Ensure all user requests are entered into the ticketing system
  • Responsible for move, add, change (user hardware / software)
  • Tape backup workflow (tape rotations, end of month tapes, restores)
  • Ensure proper inventory is in place (workstations, monitors, keyboard, mice, KVMs)
  • Ensure all UAM and RAISE requests are processed in a timely manner
  • Create/maintain documentation and FAQs
  • Resolve user support issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain effective communication with the Systems Infrastructure team and management
  • Update/maintain all documentation, will be tasked with improving such documentation as required.
  • Provide on-site support 5 days a week (unless a BCP event occurs)
  • Provide early and/or coverage (7am / 7pm)
  • Late night/weekend work may be necessary for installations, patching, upgrades and maintenance
  • Occasional travel to off-site locations within the Tri-state area.

THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE ROLE:
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Windows 10 Desktop Operating Systems and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), desktops, printers, laptops and mobile devices
  • File Server - Shares and NTFS permissions
  • Troubleshooting Active Directory
  • Have managed application distribution via SCCM
  • Solid experience supporting Market Data and Trading Application
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Salary Range: Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 Position is bonus eligible.
