For detailed information regarding the 55-a Program, please visit the following link https://www1.nyc.gov/site/dcas/employment/55-a-program.page Compensation: Salary Range: Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $62,471 - $73,956 (TA)Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $72,534 - $80,784 (TA) Associate Transit Management Analyst: $81,994 - $106,164 (TA) Responsibilities The selected candidate for the Division of Car Equipment/Quality Assurance & New Car Warranty will be responsible for developing and maintaining highly detailed reports documenting the maintenance and repair work performed by the maintenance shops, car builders and vendors. The candidate will review defect and repair work order reports to determine where adjustments in data are required to increase the effectiveness of warranty operations. Coordinate activities with the car builder, vendors, car equipment engineering and shops management as required to clarify quality characteristics and defects and participate in the joint evaluation of equipment to determine that all manufacture’s warranties and guarantees are met as required by contract terms and conditions. Utilize the Rolling Stock Maintenance Information System (RSMIS) to document Work Orders and track subway cars spare parts. Also utilize Crystal Reports to analyze subway cars maintenance data and highlight failure trends to help monitor the Mean Distance Between Failure (MBDF) for the new R211 subway cars. Education and Experience: Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II:

A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above.

Special Note: To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II, individuals must have, after meeting the minimum requirements, one additional year of professional experience as described in "2" above.

Associate Transit Management Analyst:

A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two (2) years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One (1) year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three (3) years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One (1) year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.
