Job Description:The UX Researcher/Designer will work with other City and vendor Service Designers, UX Designers, UX Leads, Product Managers and Software Developers to deliver interaction, visual, service and user experience design recommendations, artifacts and documentation. The UX Researcher/Designer will lead planning, coordinating, conducting, analyzing and reporting on user research.

TASKS:Create appropriate design artifacts to further project and team goals, including but not limited to visual designs, images, illustrations, responsive web layouts, prototypes, icons, reports, synthesis documents, user journey maps, user interface flows, wireframes and comprehensive style guidesAttend and document team meetings as necessaryProactively participate in all design and team activities for a large-scale, high-profile projectLead user research and service design research activities8 years of experience in UX design, service design and/or user research (or related fields) during which time candidate had demonstrated experience independently creating visual, interaction and service designs for enterprise projectsAbility to communicate clearly to a wide variety of stakeholdersUnderstanding of and experience with user research principles and benefits Ability to plan, conduct and deliver meaningful, actionable user research and resultsUnderstanding of product development methodology, frameworks, and principles Skill in visual design and UX software including FigmaSome knowledge of modern technology, including cloud technology, architecture, agile delivery methods and software practicesAbility to prototype in different ways, e.g. on paper, in code, in conversationAbility to build clear visualizations of service and user journeys to help teams plan and prioritize workAble to build great relationships with a wide range of disciplinesExperience working in multidisciplinary teams to design and build services and improve existing service deliveryProven experience of building positive relationships with a range of both internal and external stakeholdersCandidate MUST have an online portfolio and provide a link
