We currently have a contract position for a UX Designer / UI Designer working remote.W2 Candidates Only. Will be working in Eastern Time Zone. We cannot sponsor.This will be supporting a financial bank.

Extension/Contract to Hire:This position is contract with the right to hire if a need becomes available. Manager will only look at candidates that are open to converting to a full time employee. Company will not sponsor work visas if the decision is made to hire the contingent worker. Business need for this role:New initiatives and product ideas. As a UX Designer you will engage with business partners to leverage a human centered design approach to solve complex problems in a manner that meets the customers’ needs and sets the company apart in the marketplace. You will lead projects from concept to launch as well as intervene at various stages of projects that require thoughtful consulting and expertise. Through collaboration with teammates and line of business partners, you will develop vision and strategy, execute research, prototyping and testing and carry concepts through execution. In addition, you will bring a mix of great visual aesthetic with an ability to understand how to make a complex product feel simple and intuitive. You will also manage and lead feature development, and contribute to early product definition. This role will be responsible for designing and directing the creation of UI, info architecture, interaction designs, and visual design of experiences. Summary:The main function of the User Experience Designer is to work with project teams to design and deliver high quality client-centered, effective, consistent and usable interfaces. Job Responsibilities:• Works closely with business analysts, business sponsors, project managers and IT teams to obtain and understand business requirements.• Creates the design of user interface specifications, by applying client research, design standards, industry best practices, taking into account strategic business objectives, user needs, systems constraints.• Participates in design review sessions with project teams, acquiring consensus and getting approvals on designs and documentation.• Executes business acceptance test cases and testing.• Works with the project managers to ensure that usability deliverables accommodate project timelines, budgets, technical and scope constraints.• Contributes to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of efficient and effective usability methodology/process, documentation, workflow, ROI, metrics and design standards.• Acts as a user experience advocate regarding principles of user experience and user-centered design. Skills:• Proven understanding of user-centered design techniques & demonstrated ability to incorporate UCD principles into the architecture and design of user interfaces.• Demonstrated ability in gathering and translating requirements from business sponsors, SMEs, users, and business analysts etc.• Experience applying usability testing techniques and principles.• Experience applying a web design standard• Knowledge of web client technologies (browsers, HTML, CSS).• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to articulate ideas effectively.• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.• Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.• Strong detail orientation, and a passion for consistency. Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in human factors/usability or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.• 3-6 years related experience.
