This position may be remote initially.- hybrid in January 2022.If you have experience in data analytics, machine learning, big data and using data to drive decision-making, then this position might be perfect for you.Our global client is seeking a Vice President of Product Management who is a self-starter, a visible organizational leader, a hands-on problem solver and a relationship builder. The VP oversees the Product Management team and works with internal departments to build and prioritize a backlog of strategic and tactical software requirements for their internal CRM system and customer facing web applications. The VP should have in-depth knowledge of user experience design and demonstrate the ability to author user stories and functional specifications and work closely with software engineers and quality assurance
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Oversee the operations of the Product Management team, consisting of Business Analysts and Product Managers/Associates, developing and executing a roadmap for core products
- Guide the agile development processes including quarterly planning, metrics gathering, sprint planning, grooming and overall sprint deliverables
- Own all Product roll out planning and execution including training, written deliverables, virtual project demonstrations and in-person presentations
- Lead meetings with multiple stakeholders to identify and prioritize software development and business process improvement initiatives
- Vendor contract negotiations in conjunction with Finance and business teams
- Develop detailed functional specifications, user stories, visual mockups for stakeholder review
- Gather feedback and approval from relevant stakeholders pre- and post-development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or an MBA is a plus
- 8+ years of total work experience with 3-5 years in hands-on product strategy and management
- Experience using metrics to surface investment areas for feature development, prioritization, and experience
- Data-driven customer centric approach toward product development. Ability to clearly communicate data insights to others.
- Comfortable in the C suite, presenting and making the case for strategic positions and product decisions.
- Experience hiring, mentoring and developing teams of Product Managers and Business Analysts.
- Ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders, from a junior associate to a client to a strategic partner/vendor to a senior executive
- A strong understanding of website usability, user experience, and a high level of empathy for internal and external product users
- Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, and have exceptional writing and communicating skills
- Operates effectively, and with a sense of possibility, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- An internal consultant mindset, with proven experience and mastery of this approach is essential
- Working knowledge of Jira and Agile Methodology
