It all begins with you.About this role:The Regional Investment Banking (RIB) Group within the Investment Banking division of Wells Fargo Securities (WFS) is seeking an experienced investment banking professional - at the Vice President level - to join either it's New York City, Houston, or Washington D.C. offices. The RIB Group consists of over 75 professionals focused on providing a full array of strategic advisory services to Wells Fargo's client base in targeted industry sectors. RIB partners with Wells Fargo's local lending and wealth management franchises to provide investment banking products and services to middle market clients across country.RIB also covers a select group of top-tier private equity firms focused on middle market investments and advises them on acquisitions or divestitures of their portfolio companies. Transactions include the whole spectrum of capital markets and M&A assignments. RIB professionals are located in several offices across the country, including Charlotte, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco and Portland. The Vice President is responsible for originating and executing M&A, capital markets, and capital structure solutions. The job requires the ability to generate timely and relevant value-added ideas for clients within the RIB footprint across multiple industries; build trust and relevance with local Wells Fargo teams; exhibit proactive client contact with key decision makers in order to establish a trusted advisor relationship with the Board of Directors, CEO, and CFO; and effectively partner with other Investment Banking origination and product specialists, as well as other partners across the Wells Fargo platform.In this role, you will:Demonstrate client coverage skills and a mindset oriented toward new business development and revenue generation.

Gain familiarity with a broad base of publicly traded and privately held clients spanning multiple industries across the RIB footprint.

Lead client coverage efforts, including pitches, and partnering for flawless execution on various aspects of live deals (including conducting and supervising due diligence efforts, drafting and reviewing marketing materials, negotiating with clients/clients' legal counsel, and liaising with potential buyers, other advisors and team members).

Supervise, train and mentor teams of Associates and Analysts in the creation of complex financial models and quantitative analyses, industry, economic, product and regulatory research and related presentation and transaction materials.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.Salary$250,000Required Qualifications4+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired QualificationsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

A Master's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics

Investment banking experience

Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

Knowledge and understanding of business development: business vision, strategies, and goals

Knowledge and understanding of capital markets: deal execution process and standards

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
