VP, Software Engineering: Fulltime only NY/Remote (EST) The Vice President of Software Engineering is responsible for leading all aspects of the development and delivery for the company's flagship CRS product including our booking engine. Oversees the software engineering function in the overall planning, organizing, developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications and systems according to business needs. The Software Engineering Vice President manages multiple departmental functions within a broader context and scope. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for multiple departments and aligns them with the broader R&D best practices, goals, and objectives. Manage and scale a high-performing global team. Work with the CTO to set the technology vision for the company and lead the execution of the strategy for technology, platforms and partnerships. Qualifications: 15+ years of overall engineering experience, preferably in developing products, with at least 5 years in a management position leading globally distributed teams Strong hands-on experience with Java and AWS technologies Hospitality Industry experience preferred Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management required Highly motivated leader, with strong experience in effectively managing multiple priorities concurrently and thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment Demonstrated leadership with the ability to set clear direction and motivate a team Superior communication skills, including proven success delivering presentations to senior leaders and various sized groups; strong written communication skills Must work well in an open and highly collaborative environment Bachelor's degree; advanced degree is a plus Personal characteristics: 1.
