Concern Housing is seeking a weekend evening counselor who will be primarily responsible for the overall monitoring and safety of the residents and the sites.

Position: Weekend Evening Counselor

Location: Bronx, NY (Norwood Terrace)

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday; 4pm - 12am

Salary: $19.00/hr.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Read log for updates, instructions, and assignments.

-Filing, organizing charts, office cleaning, photocopying, etc, as assigned and/or as needed.

-Provide brief counseling as needed, redirect to regular staff when appropriate.

-Crisis intervention as needed.

-Weekly medication counts, check for accuracy and corresponding documentation.

-Perform hourly walk-thrus of site during your shift.

-Participate in monitoring of morning meds as needed.

-Prompt clients needing to wake early.

-Attend site’s monthly staff meetings.

-Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.

-Attend agency forums.

Requirements: Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent along with at least two years of experience in a similar role.
