Detailed Job Description: The Wireless Engineer will be a member of our WiFi engineering team, providing technical support on operational and maintenance tasks and network deployment projects. This is an on-site position located in New York metropolitan area. Responsibilities: Work on the implementation, operation and maintenance of the wireless network infrastructure and services. Work closely with other departments for WiFi deployment projects. Maintain wireless network documentation. Monitoring of network alarms and KPIs. Perform troubleshooting of network issues. Engage with vendors to solve issues, implement and test new network features. Perform software upgrades of wireless network components. Testing of network features. Technical skills: Knowledge of Cisco WLC and AP (Ruckus WLC/AP a plus) Familiar with 802.1x, RADIUS, EAP, EoGRE (SoftGRE), PMIPv6, CAPWAP Knowledge of Wifi design tools such as Ekahau Knowledge of IP communication (TCP/IP, routing, switching, NAT, DHCP and network security) HotSpot 2.0 / Passpoint (802.11u) Diagnostic tools Wireshark Experience with Cisco Prime and/or DNA Center a plus Minimum years of experience: 5-8 years
