CENTRAL STERILE SUPPLY TECHNICIAN SITE OF SERVICE:

Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Certificate of completion of a central sterile supply training course .

Certification : Current certification by the International Association of Healthcare Central Services Materials Management (IAHCSMM)/ Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)or current certification by the National Institute of Health Care Sterile Processing and Distribution Personnel/ Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).

Experience : Minimum of one (1) year experience as an SPD Technician, or OR Technician.

U.S. Citizenship : HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.

English Language Requirement : The Contractor shall ensure that all HCWs providing services under this contract are able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.

HCW Physical Capability : HCWs shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required

HOURS:

Womack Army Medical Center is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Womack Army Medical Center is an inpatient facility with an Emergency Department and Operating Suite that is always staffed and available to perform surgery

Shift hours TBD.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
