Accounts Receivable/ Collections - First Line Leader Description:

First-line escalation with customer and internal partners

Responsible for training, developing and monitoring the performance of 25 associates to ensure all baseline KPIs and project goals are met in the most effective and efficient manner.

Ownership of customer facing accountabilities related to the analysis of cash flow, assessment of payment disputes and collection of unpaid invoices.

Accountabilities:

Maximize Cash Flow via the review the AR Aging report and ensure AR collection activities are followed-up in a timely manner. Efficient and accurate handling of customer remittances

Review all AR policies and procedures on an annual basis or as needed and recommends revisions if deemed appropriate. Helps create AR process templates

Lead customer discussion regarding terms exceptions and late payments. Gain alignment with Finance and Sales, if escalation of late payment

discussions is likely. Enforce terms to ensure compliance with policy and federal trade laws. Analyze and document detailed customer profiles to include information such as payment habits, proof of delivery requirements, accounts payable and sales contact information.

Navigate resolution of issues that manifest as billing errors, deductions, or non-payment of invoices by customers. Quick assessment is imperative to drive timely resolution and engage the responsible team to correct (MasterData, Customer Order, Billing Dept., Supply Chain, and

Logistics).

Plans, prioritizes, and associate work assignments, develop tools to help staff meet individual and departmental goals. If need to intervene, resolves customer concerns and complaints in a constructive manner.

Monitor productivity to identify performance issues and actions taken, look for trends, and coordinate resolution. Strive for continuous learning and positive engagement related to change, in an effort to develop new tools, methods and strategic thinking.

Recruit, interview, hire and develop personnel who best meet job descriptions. Develop new / inexperienced team members to ensure they get up to speed and are productive in a timely manner.

Experience Required:

7-10 yrs of related experience in Accounts Receivable w/minimum of 2 yrs in a leader role

Knowledge of overall A/R workflow and systems.

Highly skilled and knowledgeable of adjustments, research, collections, account issues, and customer relationships.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)

Strong ERP acumen

Able to apply critical thinking to problem solving and analysis.

Adept at collaboration, negotiation and teamwork skills.

Professional and mature with a high degree of confidence interacting with the customer and other functions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with multiple levels of internal and external business partners Analytical, highly organized and detail oriented

Experience leading Control compliance and participation in SOX control testing

Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to lead, manage and complete multiple concurrent projects involving multiple stakeholders

Competencies:

Bachelor's Degree

Knowledge of SAP; familiar with running reports and performing basic analysis

Negotiation skills - Partnering with customer AP to troubleshoot, resolve outstanding concerns to secure payment
