Assistant Controller, Fund Accounting

POSITION SUMMARY Tiverton is seeking a proactive and resourceful Assistant Controller who can provide the highest quality financial strategy and accounting acumen for Tiverton, while also undertaking various other tasks required at a fast-growing company. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver with the desire to work in a dynamic environment.  This position will be an integral part of the Tiverton team and provide critical support to both the accounting department and the organization. The successful Assistant Controller will be self-motivated and energized by working with a group of thoughtful, smart, and skilled colleagues. They will enjoy being a part of a young and hungry organization focused on becoming the pre-eminent investment firm in US food production. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and assist with quarterly and yearly fund financial statements including the annual audit processCoordinate with and review the work of third-party fund administrators, including NAV calculations, capital activity, investor allocations, and financial reporting deliverablesProvide technical accounting related to complex fund structures and investment vehiclesLead coordination and review of annual tax filings and compliance in partnership with external tax providerAssist with cash management, monitoring credit lines & covenants, and various other cash forecastingSupport investor requests such as fund performance and special projects as they arise Develop and participate in process improvement projects and internal control implementationSupport Executive Leadership on ad hoc projects including maintenance/adoption of new portfolio management system, launch of new investment vehicles, and various other items in a growing organization
