Assistant Controller/Controller

Description We are in search of a detail-oriented Assistant Controller/Controller to join our client in the vending industry. Based in Greensboro, North Carolina, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, conducting account reconciliations, and overseeing the accounting department's month-end closing process. Responsibilities: Oversee the month-end closing process of the accounting department, including account reconciliations and billing accruals Collaborate closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate accounting of all cash transactions Conduct a weekly reconciliation of bank accounts Ensure the accuracy of weekly cash balances and approve check runs Manage posting of accruals and prepaids Oversee bi-weekly payroll uploads Review monthly inventory counts and address any discrepancies Examine inventory details for accuracy and implement improvements where necessary Ensure that the weekly ACH drafts/deposits in the checking account align with the general ledger Guarantee the accurate and timely recording of all transactions Ensure the timely and accurate closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting in compliance with US GAAP Lead the preparation of the monthly reporting package Conduct monthly financial review meetings with executive leadership Oversee the development of the annual budget Review budget to actual on a monthly basis and report variances Lead weekly meetings to review metrics with managers and key employees Discuss financial metrics with the Controller Manage all inter-company transactions and reconciliations Monitor quarterly corporate tax prepayments and rebate paymentsRequirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Vending industry as an Assistant Controller/Controller. Proficient in Financial Statement Preparation. Excellent skills in using QuickBooks software. Ability to perform Account Reconciliation. Strong Financial Analysis skills.
