The Manufacturing Security Architecture Lead will direct a global team utilizing a combination of business process analysis and technical knowledge to develop security design deliverables that identify and describe the relationships among business functions, data, applications, and networking technology at various levels recognizing GxP manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

Security Architecture – Manufacturing

  • Lead the Security Architecture Manufacturing capability – ensure the building of hybrid skills across the team, that considers architectures holistically and enforces bestpractices in enacting Dev-SecOps
  • Lead the process for updating security architecture including continual review and improvements as needed to ensure alignment with manufacturing and security objectives
  • Manage the effort to further enhance the automation of addressing security risks and compliance requirements within GxP and IEC/ISA guidelines.
  • Identify automation opportunities in the areas like DevOps, Cloud Security, IAM and Security Operations and create use case for implementation
  • Enhance the Application Vulnerability Governance to develop consistent Dev-SecOps across cloud and on-prem environments recognizing manufacturing environmental requirements.
  • Identify tools and technology for implementation to manage the dynamic threat landscape specific to manufacturing environments and create a security roadmap
  • Establish a strategy to identify security solutions that will benefit the overall business manufacturing model
  • Establish security controls from end point, in transit, and at rest to other end points

Risk Segmentation and Mitigation

  • Own the risk mitigation strategy and thought leadership within Dev-SecOps of the manufacturing landscape
  • Manage the risk classification and specifications as it relates to development across platforms

Software, Infrastructure, Platform as a Service (CoE)

  • Lead the effort in developing thought leadership related to securing external manufacturing services – public, private, hybrid
  • Manage the development and implementation of security protocols for cloud services that impact manufacturing

SOC Relationship / Coordination

  • Coordinate and collaborate with the SOC team within Infrastructure Technologies and Operations to ensure the SOC processes are best practice from I&T cybersecurity perspective in maintaining manufacturing operations.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, mathematics, etc., Master’s degree desirable
  • 10+ years IT experience including specific experience in IT security

  • Experience developing and implementing business processes and best practices

  • Demonstrated leadership experience including influencing senior management and critical stakeholders

  • Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience desirable

Competencies:

  • Demonstrated advanced experience in OT Manufacturing Automation, MES, and PLC systems
  • Strategic and tactical manufacturing knowledge of strategy, processes, and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance of GxP environments.
  • Implementation and operations experience using IEC 62443 standards
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations, workshop facilitation and delivery, and other non-traditional forms of communication – capable of framing the problem in a meaningful and applicable manner
  • Leveraging cloud technologies for GxP manufacturing environments.
  • Collaborative mindset able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
  • Strong situational analysis, decision making abilities and relationship management with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Proven leadership, especially situational leadership, in managing within a complex matrix environment
