Your Role and Responsibilities

Kyndryl Advisory and Implementation Service Line provides advice, move, and build services by working in partnership with customers and are dedicated to ensuring that each achieves their peak digital performance.

Your Role: An Associate Partner in Kyndryl's Advisory and Implementation Service line leads teams that provide consultative skills and technology expertise to drive sales and deliver customer service requirements. Associate Partners are responsible for end-to-end opportunity ownership and working with other Kyndryl resources to support deal closures and delivery in complex, cross-practice deals.

This position is for experts with direct experience in Application Migration and Modernization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development and Relationship Management : Develop and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders; experience originating deals with C-level clients; lead pursuit teams; participate and lead the proposal development process; contribute to proposal shaping and pricing strategies.
  • Sales Management : Manage to a Quota-Based sales plan through opportunity identification, pipeline management, solution development and presentation, contracting, negotiation, and delivery of services leading to future opportunities.
  • Delivery & Engagement Management : Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk.
  • Practitioner Development : Perform the role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities.
  • Sales Pursuit and Pipeline Development: End to end opportunity ownership and expansion/creation of pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Use Case Prioritization, ROI, and Business Case
  • Service Offering Development : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create industry points of view for our service offerings.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in application migration and modernization.
Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
  • 5+ years selling large IT consulting engagements.
  • 5+ years Application Development & Application Migration experience leading complex application assessment, workload placement, application modernization and migration programs across a multi-cloud estate
  • Experience leading data center consolidation programs
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies
  • At least 5 years of development experience in at-least one of the development languages:
    • Java
    • .Net
    • C/C
    • Node.js
    • Python or others
  • Strong experience performing application and infrastructure discovery to create migration roadmap including detailed workload migration waves across multi-cloud estate
  • Experience with industry class discovery tools such as Flexera CloudScape or similar
  • Experience leading application assessment workshops with technical and business teams for cloud migrations and ability to articulate findings to executives (CXO)
  • Solid understanding of containers (Kubernetes), application scalability concepts, high availability and network load balancing
  • Must have experience in driving DevOps adoption in enterprise including tools, process and culture transformation
  • Experience in implementing application modernization methodologies like refactoring to micro services, leveraging PaaS services, container modernization, and ability to influence organization's application roadmap
  • Experience in helping customer to determine and realize value for application modernization candidates, developing and presenting the business case for modernization candidates
  • Solid understanding of Linux and Windows applications and steps involved in containerizing apps to cloud
  • Experience with mainframe modernization programs
  • Solid understanding of serverless, decoupled architecture, twelve factor apps concepts and their applicability to app modernization
  • $5M+/year signings responsibility combined with revenue responsibility through delivering Application Development & Application Migration services
  • Experience having done modernization work (Re-Hosting, Re-Platforming, Service Enablement or Re-Facing) at large corporations.
  • Experience in articulating the migration methods that Kyndryl employs
  • Experience with migration tools like Cloudscape, Zerto, Carbonite, SRDF
  • Experience in developing statements of work
  • Experience in developing work break down structures for all the resources, hours and timeline for an engagement
  • Experience with storage, mainframe, Power i/AS400, x86, and network
  • Experience in leading technical discussions
  • Proven track record in developing strong client relationships with a focus on the executive levels
  • Strong communication skills including extensive experience communicating with executive levels
  • Demonstrated business acumen including negotiation skills and contract/profit management
  • Exceptional presentation skills with demonstrated executive engagement and proven ability to present strategic information to, and drive change across a broad range of business departments
  • Industry specific experience and/or certifications
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise :
  • Service Management, Operational Readiness, Operating Model Assessment, Cloud Op Model Strategy, Design, Governance, IT Svc. Mgt. Process and Tools
  • Familiar with systems integration/system & process management
  • Experience in Multi-Cloud platforms

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position $132,000 to $235,000 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. #DiceKyndryl

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 15 - 20 years, of overall IT experience
  • At least 5 years of experience as Delivery architect/Solution architect/Technical Consulting in the area of public cloud, migration
  • Must have Certification in at least one of the following Certifications: Any architect level cloud certifications - AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Preferred Certifications: Kubernetes/ OpenShift/ VMware, TOGAF
