This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in classified system administration and develop a strong foundation in classified IT operations. You will work closely with senior system administrators to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our classified systems and networks. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and develop solutions to solve infrastructure problems. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, licensing, and maintenance of software applications on all classified systems. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing desktop support, resetting passwords, and responding to incidents that occur on the classified information systems.Responsibilities
Software Application Management: Install, configure, license, and maintain software applications, ensuring their optimal performance, availability, and security.
User Support: Provide technical support to users, assisting them with application-related issues, troubleshooting problems, and resolving any software-related queries.
System Configuration: Customize software applications to meet specific business requirements, including user interface modifications, data integrations, and workflow enhancements.
Upgrades and Patches: Plan and execute application upgrades, applying patches, and ensuring compatibility with existing systems and databases.
Security and Access Management: Implement and maintain appropriate security measures, including user access controls, data backups, and disaster recovery plans.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of software application configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance optimization strategies to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and effective communication between systems.
Training: Conduct training sessions and develop user guides to educate employees on how to effectively use software applications, maximizing their productivity.
Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in software application administration, and propose innovative solutions to enhance the organization's software infrastructure.
Provide timely technical support for users and work with them to solve existing problems.
QualificationsQualifications
The ability to maintain an Active SECRET Clearance (Minimum) or a TOP SECRET Clearance US security clearance.
Have a background investigation closure date within the last 5 years.
Be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.
Ability to satisfy Department of Defense Directive (DoD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months from the date of hire.
Ability to lift 15 pounds.
Desired Qualifications:
Microsoft Group Policy fundamentals
System hardening in accordance with government regulations.
Direct working experience with DFARS, DAAPM, JSIG environments
Experience with STIG and SCAP tools
PowerShell or BAT scripting
Familiarity working in a manufacturing and test environment.
