Piper Life Sciences is actively seeking an

Automation Controls Engineer to join a

pharmaceutical manufacturing and chemical processing organization in

Raleigh, North Carolina (NC). The Controls Engineer will be assisting in projects focused in

DeltaV, Allen-Bradley, and Rockwell

. This is a

Monday-Friday role, located on-site in an industrial environment, with traditional working hours.

Responsibilities of the Automation Controls Engineer include:
  • Collaborate with other team members regarding the improvement and transition of controls system throughout facilities.
  • Execute control design, configuration and startup of process control related projects for the site.
  • Troubleshoot the control system hardware and equipment issues all the way up to programming sequences.
  • Work cross functionally with project managers, engineering, etc. to ensure programs remain compliant.
  • Work hands-on with DeltaV, and Rockwell.
  • Provide technical support as needed.

Qualifications for the Automation Controls Engineer include:
  • B.S. in an Engineering discipline, with 1-5 years of transferrable experience
  • Experience with DeltaV and Rockwell knowledge is preferred
  • Automation/controls experience in an industrial environment
  • Ability to work partially in an office setting, and partially out in the plant when necessary

  • Compensation: based on degree and years of relevant industry experience
